"Echoes and Imprints," featuring 15 new pieces that delve into themes of layering, texture, and abstraction through experimental printmaking techniques.

This body of work emerged from my recent explorations with gelatin monoprinting. I've been captivated by the organic, unpredictable nature of this process and how it allows me to construct intricate layers of color, shape, and texture. Circular forms naturally evolved as a recurring motif - perhaps reflecting the cyclical nature of creation and impression.

The five pieces previewed here offer a tantalizing glimpse into the exhibition. You'll encounter a spectrum of earthy tones - deep reds, rich ochres, and moody indigos - punctuated by moments of vivid brightness. Translucent layers interact to create depth and visual intrigue. While abstract, the compositions evoke natural forms and processes - water droplets, cellular structures, geological formations.

In creating these works, I sought to balance control and spontaneity. The gelatin plate offers opportunities for serendipitous accidents and organic imperfections. Simultaneously, I've carefully considered composition, color relationships, and the interplay of positive and negative space.

I invite viewers to find their own meanings and associations in these pieces. The layered forms can be interpreted in countless ways - as cosmic, microscopic, or somewhere in between.

The full exhibition opens soon.
