As an artist, I'm constantly fascinated by the interplay of texture, color, and emotion. My two latest pieces, which I've tentatively titled "Wish" and "Wish II," represent my ongoing exploration of these elements.
In both works, I started with a base of warm, earthy tones - ochres and greens that evoke a sense of nature and timelessness. I built up layers gradually, using a combination of techniques including impasto, glazing, and splattering. The process was intuitive, allowing each layer to guide the next.
For "Wish," I wanted to capture the feeling of uncovering something ancient and precious. The dark, organic shapes emerged almost of their own accord, like artifacts revealed beneath layers of time.
"Wish II" took a more dynamic turn. Here, I let loose with bolder strokes and a more vibrant palette. The central burst of reds and blacks against the green background represents to me the sudden, powerful emergence of new life or ideas.

Through these pieces, I aim to evoke a sense of discovery and transformation in the viewer. I want them to feel the tension between the old and the new, the quiet and the vibrant. Most of all, I hope these works invite contemplation and resonate on an emotional level, speaking to each viewer in a unique way.
