I'm thrilled to announce that my piece "Winter Solstice" has been selected for CBS Sun Art showcase! While it may seem a bit early, given the recent deluge of snow we've experienced in our brief winter, a winter theme felt perfectly fitting for this year's submission.

"Winter Solstice" is a gelatin monoprint with acrylic on paper, measuring 11" x 17". This piece captures the essence of winter's beauty and the promise of light returning after the darkest day of the year. The central golden orb, textured and radiant, represents the sun emerging from the cold blue hues of winter. Surrounding it, delicate petal-like forms evoke both icy crystals and the hope of spring to come.

I'm particularly excited about the techniques used in this piece. The combination of gelatin monoprinting and acrylic allows for a unique interplay of textures and depths, creating a piece that feels both ethereal and tangible.

In just a few minutes, I'll be posting this on the Artist Challenge website (www.theartistchallenge.com). It's an honor to have my work selected for such a visible platform, and I can't wait to see how it looks as part of the CBS Sun Art collection.

Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you all for your continued support of my artistic journey!
